I'm not all together sure what I want to work on next. I've a few ideas in my head that need sketching, and the weekend's random stitching has me turning a few other concepts around, more for upcoming fall craft and artisan shows than commercial cross stitch. I might just take a few days off right now too as we ready to move my son to North Dakota this weekend and then seriously dig in next week with the new stuff!

Winter Blessing
I finished up the first of the SnowAngelz collection today, Winter Blessing. I stitched my piece over two threads on blueberry hand-dyed jobelan from Wichelt Imports. This one finishes up at 68w x 98h, and uses DMC floss and Kreinik #4 braids and blending filaments for the wings and snowy sparkle.

introducing 'three frosty stooges': the popsicle collection
![]() |
| Three Frosty Stooges: The Popsicle Collection |
'Three Frosty Stooges' finishes at 97w x109h. I stitched my piece over two threads on 28ct. blueberry jobelan from Wichelt Imports. The piece uses DMC floss and Kreinik blending filament. I will be including a small white button with each pattern, and as is typical for me in all my recycling ways, the buttons will vary in each pattern pack, carefully selected from the fruit jars filled with buttons that I have in the studio.
Next up, the first of the Snowflakes Collection. They will be similar to the Snowbugz and Lil Flakes, but just a smidge bigger, and there will be three different patterns in each pack. I started sorting through embellishments for these lil guys over the weekend.

Blight, Broomhilda & Booz
Finally...
106w x 175h. The threads are DMC 6 strand flosses and Kreinik's amazing holographic #4 braids scattered throughout for accents and of course Broomhilda's hair!
Finished up the newest design in my Halloween line, Blight, Broomhilda & Booz. I stitched my model over two threads on 28ct. Sandcastle hand-dyed Jobelan from Wichelt Imports. The piece finishes at

School starts again in just a few weeks, and I am wondering where the summer went but just as eager to head into fall.

...and also Yasamine of the Little Snowballz
While I miss my kids terribly (they are off on a family vacation/raquetball tournament with their father) it does give me the opportunity to spend large hunks of time stitching uninterrupted. It meant completing two Snowballz over the weekend.
Yasamine joins the series on the tail end, one more to go. Zeke will be started this afternoon. Yassy is stitched over two threads on 28ct. Pink Dahlia hand dyed Jobelan from Wichelt Imports. I love their hand dyed Jobelans. The colors are amazing. As with the other Little Snowballz, she only requires 8 colors of DMC floss. The piece finishes at a 48w x 69h. She's a little "thinner" than some of the other Snowballz. I just consider her petite!
I do enjoy exploring other designing paths. My mandala series has been inspiring to me, and I always enjoy florals and working on creating garden pieces.
But I will always find such joy in the Snowballz.

Fall Meditation, Miniature Mandalas
Fall Meditation: The Miniature Mandalas
Stitched over two threads on Wichelts Sand Castle hand-dyed 28ct. Jobelan. It finishes at about 4in. x 4in. as do the others. One to go! Winter is snapped up and ready for stitching. I hope to have all four patterns packaged up and ready for sale by early next week.

Stuart of the Little Snowballz
Finished another of my Little Snowballz series. His name is Stuart and he is stitched over two threads on Wichelt Imports 28ct. hand-dyed Jobelan. I just love this color. It reminds me of sherbert! It does not come up as brightly as it really is with the scan, but trust me that it is really very 'lime'. The other two brighter colors of the hand-dyed do too, the orange and the lemon. Very yummy colors. Stuart finishes at 72x98 and like the other Little Snowballz only uses a handful of floss colors. Next in line for stitching, Tomas, but I think I might start another mandala now that I have the Kreinik holographic threads at my fingertips.
