Long Time Away

It has been a busy summer. For the most part, it has been one filled up with exciting things-- new adventures, some frustration, a bit of 'holy crap I'm overwhelmed.'.  I have been diving in head first into the art, and it's been so much fun to try out new things and explore the what-ifs.

I have been spending a lot of time over on Tumblr, but am realizing I need space to start documenting my processes, especially now as I get ready for a life of empty nest and more time to explore those things that I just have not had time to dig into.  If I've realized anything in the last few months, it's that I'm all over the place. I have these fleeting moments of clarity and too many moments of scattered. I need to reclaim this space to sort some of that out.

And so it begins!

Blossom. Finally found a way to tie together my crochet and cross stitch. This one has been received so well, and I'm struggling to keep up with the flowers!

I wanted to do something based on blue and white china patterns and tie it in with the quilt block collection I've been working on.
