This is photo I took last summer at Rasmussen Woods. It was the trail I was walking on at the time and I was really digging the texture. When painting fabrics yesterday, I remembered this image and so I pulled it up and this was what I painted...
I also started another piece this afternoon that plays off of all these neat pictures of broken brick and stone walls I have in my collection. Not sure yet if I'm doing anything more with this or leaving it as it is!
Patiently waiting for my new paints to arrive so I can dig into some other colors and textures. So much fun! Finally exploring a way to tie together two of my favorite mediums!
