friday wanna try this

I have all of this scrap tapestry wool that I have started doing this with.

I've started doing these...and they are just FUN!

This will be a weekend project very very soon...

As will this...I have the *perfect* lamp to do it with, too!

Day off today, so I am doing some lace tatting. Something I have never done. Freeform, not following any pattern, but a very pretty doily is starting to emerge and I am quite pleased!

friday i wanna try this

Now this one might be fun to play with...

this one would be hard to do, but I think it is so very cool

I had been working on a quilt design for a publication that has, it would seem, folded. So, the designs are stitched and they'll be offered soon through my distributor and on the website.  This was the focal square on the small lap quilt.

This is the second block, the complimentary square. I think I'll package the two together. These images were from my 'in progress' file...so I will make sure and get better snaps tomorrow.

friday i wanna try this

As my daughter and I get ready to do some redecorating and touch our bohemian selves, I've been snurching ideas from various places. I'm finding I am really drawn to these window dressings and lampshades and sun catcher kind of things.

*~*

Finished up a new design and haven't had a chance to get it photographed or posted yet. It is the first in a series of simple trees (Not the celtic trees I've spoken of before) and I've titled it
Gingham Twigs.  Starting on another this weekend with an autumn feel to it.

Also charting a few more for the Whiskerkins Collection.

friday i wanna try this

Today's Friday I Wanna Try This...

I thought this was kind of cool, although I don't know if I could use my own book collection for it!

And another image with the books open, pages down, which looked very interesting but so hard on the spines of the books! Perhaps if they were books that were due to be recycled.

Doesn't appear that it would take quite as many books as the floor book tree would.

~*~

I'm working through the newest Whiskerkins design now. I love how fast these stitch up and they have been well-received, Pumpkin in particular!  Settling in now to stitch, drink a bit of coffee.

It's Friday!

friday i wanna try this

Dining room window would work well for this

My mother's house has a line of six evergreens that this would be perfect in

Now this I could see myself doing instead of putting up a tree
